The training program titled Values for Digital Community with the Collaboration of American Corner Jaffna was conducted on the 27th of July and the 03rd of August 2023.

This training program focused on creating awareness of using digital media responsibly and countering disinformation, especially while using Social Media. Also, this program created youth to be more vigilant about social media hate speech and be aware of the harassment that happens on social media.

The training program is relevant to the course unit ‘Contemporary Media Technology’ (CMCH 22043 and CMC 22013) of the Curriculum of the B.A. and B.A. (Honours) in Media Studies and the students of Level II Semester II of Media Studies benefitted from the training program.
