As per the MoU signed with the Alcohol and Drug Information Center (ADIC), several programmes have been implemented by the Alcohol and Drug Information Center with the collaboration of the Department of Media Studies.
As part of this, the students took part in the Film Analysis-2024 which aims to analyze the contents of the Tamil Films released during 2024 in promoting the consumption of tobacco and alcohol and Trend Survey on Tobacco and Alcohol in Northern Province.
As the concluding session of the film analysis and the survey, the certificates have been awarded to the students who took part in the assignments. The certificate-issuing event was held at the Arts Seminar Hall of the Faculty of Arts on the 16thof August 2024.
Ms.Muhammadu Farook Fathima Safa and Ms.Varshana Varatharasha, the students who participated in the film analysis presented the results of their investigation at the event and Prof.S.Raguram, Dean, Faculty of Arts delivered the greeting note.
The certificate-issuing event was chaired by Ms.S.Poongulaly, Head of the Department. Mr. A.C.Raheem, Senior Programme Officer-ADIC, Ms. Nidarshana Selladurai, Programme Officer-ADIC, Mr.A.Kodeeswaran, Programme Coordinator, Northern Province-ADIC, the Staff and Students of the Department of Media Studies also participated.
