The inter-University exchange programme between the University of Jaffna and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura was held on the 25th and 26th of March 2023 in Jaffna.

38 students from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura visited Jaffna to get exposure to Jaffna’s unique social and economic issues and cultural practices and religious systems through this exchange programme along with 20 students from the University of Jaffna.

The purpose of the program was to create a network among the inter-universities and promote diversity and pluralism among university students and this activity was implemented as part of the ‘Incubator Space for Promoting Information Rights and Freedom of Expression (InSPIRE) Project’ which is funded by the European Union and co-implemented by HELVETAS Intercooperation gGmbH Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Development Journalist Forum.
