Student Won International Award
The final year Media Studies student Mr. Thivakar Thiruchelvam won the Audience Award for his Documentary Film ‘Munai’ at the Jaffna International Cinema Festival (JFCF) in 2016.

Master Class on ‘Understanding Editing’ by German Expert
The final year and third year Media Studies students took part in Master Classes conducted by Ms. Andrea Wenzler from Germany on ‘Understanding the Editing’ and Mr. Shyaman Premasundara on ‘Sound Designing for Short Films’. The event conducted parallel to the main stream of 'Jaffna International Cinema Festival 2016'.
