Tamil language version of Sri Lanka’s Media Development Indicators (MDI) Report ‘Rebuilding Public Trust’ launched in Jaffna on 24 January 2017, the event was organized by the Media Studies, Jaffna Press Club and the National Secretariat for Media Reforms (NSMR).
The final year Media Studies students gathered the professional experiences in media field through their ‘Media Internship’ for two months in Rupavahini, Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation, Independent Television Network (ITN), and Maharajah Television Network (MTV) in Colombo.

The final year Media Studies student Mr. Thivakar Thiruchelvam won the Audience Award for his Documentary Film ‘Munai’ at the Jaffna International Cinema Festival (JFCF) in 2016.
