The Staff Development Center (SDC) of the University of Jaffna invited the Department of Media Studies to facilitate the training to the School Education Officers from the Killinochchi Zone on the 15th of July 2022.

Under the Programme of ‘Capacity Building Programme to the Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service Officials’, the Zonal Education Officers (ZDEs), Deputy Directors of Education (DDEs), Assistant Directors of Education (ADEs), and In-Service Advisors (ISAs) of Kilinochchi Zone have participated in the training.

The training was conducted for one day at the Media Lab of the Media Studies and the camera handling and editing of audio-visual productions were covered.

Dr. S. Raguram (Head, Department of Media Studies), Mr. T. Sivanesan (Audio-Visual Technical Officer, Department of Media Studies) and Mr. T. Thivakar – B.A. (Hons.) in Media Studies participated as resource persons and Ms. P. Sivatharsiny (Former Temporary Demonstrator), Ms. R. Roshani (Temporary Demonstrator, Department of Media Studies), Mr. B. Praveen – B.A. (Hons.) in Media Studies, Mr. P. Dilakshan – B.A. (Hons.) in Media Studies, Mr. R. Kalaiamuthan – B.A. (Hons.) in Media Studies and Mr. S. Sivasubramaniam – Lab Attendant, Media Lab, Department of Media Studies participated as the facilitators in the training sessions.
