Department of Media Studies participated along with the Journalists from Northern Province in ‘Press Forward: A Conversation on Journalism, Storytelling, and Technology’, a programme hosted by Consulate General of India, Jaffna at the Jaffna Thiruvalluvar Cultural Centre on 19th of July 2025.

The sessions featured Mr. Sivadhanush and Ms. Kiruthiga Maruthanayagam from Behindwoods, Mr. Vignesh Radhakrishnan from The Hindu, and Mr. Prabhurao Anandan from Polimer News and BBC News தமிழ். Their professional exposure enriched discussions on ethics, storytelling, and technology in journalism.

Consul General Shri Sai Murali, Shri Nagarajan Ramaswamy, Consul (CPV & PIE), Ms. Ramya, Consul (Commerce) and Head of Chancery, Ms.S.Poongulaly, Head, Department of Media Studies, were also present in the programme.
