Mr. Ranjith Joseph, Filmmaker of ‘Sinam kol’ (சினம் கொள்), a full-length feature film in Tamil participated in a sharing Session with the Media Studies students on the 25th of November 2022 at the Library Auditorium, University of Jaffna.

Following the screening of the movie ‘Sinam kol’ (சினம் கொள்), Mr. Ranjith and Mr. Theepachelvan, the Dialogue Writer of the film answered the questions from the students on their experiences, preparation, making of ‘Sinam kol’ (சினம் கொள்).

Mr. Ranjith Joseph, is a Sri-Lankan born, Canadian filmmaker who moved to Canada at a young age. Being always fascinated by art and Tamil literature, he pursued a career in film studies and graduated from Tribes Film Institute. Later, he moved to Chennai, India to further strengthen his knowledge on Tamil cinema. He worked as an assistant director on various sets with reputable south Indian directors. He assisted Mr.Sasi , an eminent Tamil writer/filmmaker, as his assistant director in his film “Poo”.
