The Media Studies, with the collaboration of Iran Cultural Centre, Colombo conducted ‘Iran – Sri Lanka Friendship Cinema Festival’ and screened two Iranian films at Kailasapathy Auditorium, University of Jaffna on 10th of January 2019.

From the initiative of Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Colombo, Mr. Mostafa Sohrab, Counsellor – Iran Cultural Centre and Mr. DhanushkaGunathilake, Deputy Director (Media) at Office for National Unity and Reconciliation in Sri Lanka are coordinated the festival.

Dr. K. Suthakar, Dean, Faculty of Arts ceremonially inaugurated the event and two award winning films ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Track 143’ were screened.
