The discussion on ‘Media and Gender’ with the staff and students of Department of Media Studies and the editorial staff of ‘Yarl Thinakkural’, a Jaffna based Tamil daily organized in Jaffna on 14th of June by International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX), with the support from USAID.

The discussion was in the style of a media salon, a non-formal gathering where participants can engage in constructive and critical discussion and it was moderated by Ms. Kaushalya Ariyarathne, Programme Manager, Sri Lanka Development Journalist Forum, Ms. Kiruththiga Tharmarajah, Media Educator and Ms. Anutharshi Linganathan, Lecturer, Department of Media Studies, University of Jaffna.
