Mr. Antony Jesuradnam Siri (2014/A/136), Media Studies (Honours) Degree student awarded the Prof. Alagaiah Thurairajah Gold Medals for his overall performances at the Faculty Level of the Faculty of Arts and the University Level in the year 2017.

University of Jaffna awards prestigious Prof. Alagaiah Thurairajah Gold Medals annually to the students based on their all-round performances at each Faculty level and University level. The award was established in the Year 1994 and the awards have been presented at the General Convocation of each year.

The Awards are given based on the scheme of selection which contains the following criteria:

4. Cultural Activities
5. Dissemination of Knowledge
