Media Studies Students Participated in the ‘Short Film Making Residential Training’ Organized by the Centre for Media and Information Literacy (CMIL)

The Centre for Media and Information Literacy (CMIL) conducted a four-day residential program from 18th to 21st July 2024 in Kandy on the topic of ‘Elevate Short Film Making Training Program’; addressing Cyber Gender-Based Violence & Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights for potential university female undergraduates in Universities.

The following students from Level III Semester II were selected through the interview and participated in the above program.

1. Ms. Muhammadu Farook Fathima Safa (2020/A/280)
2. Ms. Elangoven Niroshika (2020/A/215)

The programme is relevant to the course units, Digital Storytelling: Documentary Filmmaking (32023)’ and ‘Digital Storytelling: Short Filmmaking (CMCH 41053) of the Curriculum of the B.A. (Honours) in Media Studies.

It is noted that the Department of Media Studies has signed a MoU with CMIL in the year 2022 and doing collaborative work with them.
