Media Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Jaffna successfully conducted a workshop for the more than 300 Advanced Level students from the 24 schools of Northern Province on 20th of June 2018 with the collaborations of Provincial Department of Education, Northern Province at the Kailasapathy Auditorium.

The event aims to enhance the knowledge level and competency of the students in the subject of ‘Communication and Media Studies’ which is introduced in the Advanced Level curriculum recent past.

Total of 318 students and 24 teachers from 24 schools from Jaffna, Killinochchi, Mannar, Mullaithivu and Vavuniya where ‘Communication and Media Studies’ introduced as a subject in Advanced Level teaching are participated and benefitted from this workshop.

The workshop has been considered the another landmark in enhancing media education at preliminary level and promoting awareness on learning media at Advanced Level.
