CREATIVE WORK IN THE MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION FIELD

• Conducted Public Folk Art Performances in Development Communication field:

Conducted a number of public folk art performances under the theme of ‘Applied Folklore in Development Communication’ in various issues such as public health, school dropouts, the influence of media, avoiding alcohol and drugs, keeping tradition, the importance of democracy etc. and facilitated the students in getting exposure in public and strategic communication (2010 – 2015)

• Guided the students in making Short Films and Documentary Films:

Guided the students and youths in making short films and documentary films professionally. Till now, there are nearly 150 short films and 400 documentary films from Trincomalee Campus, Eastern University Sri Lanka (2006 – 2015) and 80 documentary films from Department of Media Studies, University of Jaffna have been produced under direct guidance (2016 – 2022).

• Advisor to ‘Tourism Promo Video’ which produced in all three languages: Tamil, Sinhala and English and covered the various tourism aspects in traditional, religious, natural, leisure and heritage richness of North of Sri Lanka for Tourism Bureau of Northern Province as a member of  the Tourism Bureau of Northern Province -2019
• Principle Proposal Writer and Coordinator for Innovatory Grant for Arts Students (IDAS) Project – under HETC for Trincomalee Campus on ‘Establishment of Drawing and Animation Centre for Arts students’
