The Provincial Journalists in Jaffna and Media Studies students of the University of Jaffna participated in a workshop on crisis and investigative reporting on 10th and 11th of December 2022 at the Tilko City Hotel, Jaffna.
The participants got the opportunity to learn specific topics related to crisis and investigative reporting, such as fact-checking tools, crisis management, journalists’ behavior on crisis sites, the role of journalists in crisis reporting, as well as safety measures in crisis reporting .
Award-winning Investigative Journalist Shihar Aneez conducted the workshop with interesting practical activities that the participants were actively engaged in. The workshop is a part of Project Inspire, which is being implemented by SDJF with the partner organization Helvetas and the funding support of the EU.
