The ‘Media Club’, the Students’ Society of the Department of Media Studies screened the Short films directed by the students of Media Studies on the 21 st of April 2023 at 2.30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall No.107 of Faculty of Arts, University of Jaffna.

Final Year Student Ms. A.Sangkeerthana (2017/A/346) and Third Year Student Ms.P.Kamsajini (2018/A/SPI/512) produced the Short films ‘Pethumbai’ and ‘The Color of Life’ respectively, under the theme of ‘Film for Equality’.

Ms.S.Poonglulay, Head, Department of Media Studies, Mr.S.J.Dinesh Koduthor, Senior Treasurer of Media Club, Ms.G.Anutharsi, Lecturer of Department of Media Studies and Media Club Committee members and Students of Media Studies participated in the screening.

The screening is followed by the Welcome speech by the Senior Treasurer of the club and an appreciation note given by the Head of the Department, and then a discussion is held between students and short film directors.
