“A day-long exposure to live performing arts for story-telling, drama, puppetry, dance movement and music”
Fifty students of the InSPIRE Network representing the Department of Media Studies of the University of Jaffna, University of Peradeniya, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, and South-Eastern University came together to engage in an interactive, activity filled, stimulating, stress relieving session organized by Helvetas Sri Lanka under the InSPIRE project on 17th of December 2022.
The workshop included a creative puppetry activity for emotional intelligence, emotional resilience and self-compassion activities followed by an energetic fun-filled performance of the Hat Seller (තොප්පි වෙළෙන්දා) led by the very talented Power of Play (PVT) LTD crew. This allowed students to break away from their daily academic workload and spend a stress-free day together with their fellow peers engaging in creative song, dance, and free expression.
