Prof. Ankuran Dutta, Director, Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, High Commission of India, Colombo and Professor (On lien) of Dept. of Communication and Journalism at Gauhati University visited the University of Jaffna and discussed with the Students of Media Studies regarding the topic of ‘Reflecting Community through Media’.

Prof.Ankuran elaborated on the community media, making documentary films and how media construct society through the case studies.

The discussion was held on the 18th of December 2023 (Monday) at the Faculty of Arts. Head and Academic Staff, Department of Media Studies also participated in the event.
