The academic staff of the Media Studies invited as resource persons to the Workshop on ‘Ethical and Conflict Sensitive Journalism’ to the Youths, Conducted by Caritas- HUDEC Jaffna, the Social arm of the Catholic Church of Jaffna’ on 13th of December, 2021.

The youths who are working in communication and media sector of the diocese of Jaffna and the second year Media Studies who are following Reporting as their one of the course units participated in the workshop.

The inauguration speech delivered by Revd. Fr. S. Eugene Francis, Director of HUDEC-Caritas Jaffna and the objectives of the workshop explained by Mr. Joseph Bala, Coordinator of the workshop. The workshop covered the areas of news and news values, feature writing, ethics in journalism and conflict sensitive reporting.
